Karnataka man detained at Mahabodhi temple released

Bishwanath Malappa, a Karnataka resident, was detained by Bodh Gaya police for allegedly smuggling a spy camera into the Mahabodhi temple. He claimed he inadvertently carried the camera and had no malicious intent. Police released him on personal surety after registering a non-cognizable case and verifying his background, as he was in Bodh Gaya for sightseeing with friends.
