Karnataka: Mandya villages selected for model solar village programme under renewable energy scheme
Besagarahalli and Kesturu in Maddur Taluk have been selected for India’s PMSG-MBY Model Solar Village Programme, aiming to boost solar power generation. These villages, meeting the population and grid connectivity criteria, are now “Potential Candidates.” From July 2024 to December 2025, the village with the highest solar adoption will receive Rs 1 crore.
