Kolkata: 250 women receive cervical cancer vaccine

Kolkata saw over 250 young girls vaccinated against cervical cancer this week. This initiative by Windamere and Rotary Clubs of Kolkata, funded by Tostem, aims to protect 2,500 girls. Funds are being raised through a golf tournament. Cervical cancer is a significant health concern globally and in India. The vaccine protects against high-risk HPV types.
