Maharashtra govt orders VJTI audit of newly opened Palava flyover

Following public outcry and safety concerns after its partial opening on July 4, 2025, the Maharashtra government has ordered a structural audit of the Palava flyover. Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) will conduct the audit due to the poor quality work and excess bitumen leading to accidents. Despite reducing traffic, residents demand completion of the remaining lanes.
