Manager who averted train tragedy with swift action honoured by NFR

A goods train manager’s quick thinking averted a major rail disaster on the Kokrajhar-Salakati track. Bholaram Das noticed a fractured track, suspected to be from an IED blast, and alerted the loco pilots. Their immediate braking brought the train to a halt just meters from the damaged section, preventing a potential derailment.
