Mangaluru: KMC Hospital successfully removes large thyroid goitre from 72-year-old patient

KMC Hospital successfully treated a 72-year-old patient with a large, symptomatic multinodular goitre. Despite advanced age, co-morbidities, and a difficult airway, a multidisciplinary team performed a technically demanding surgery. The patient, presenting with an 18×12 cm goitre, recovered well and was discharged on the fifth postoperative day.
