Meghalaya govt allocates 15% of state budget to education: CM

Meghalaya’s Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma revealed a significant Rs 3,654 crore, or 15% of the state’s budget, is allocated to education, the highest among all departments. This substantial investment supports over 14,000 schools and 55,000 teachers, with nearly Rs 1,000 crore annually for grants to private institutions.
