Microsoft layoffs: Tech giant cuts 830 jobs in home state

Microsoft has reduced its workforce by 9,000. This includes 830 jobs in Washington. The cuts affect gaming, engineering, research, sales, and cloud divisions. Nearly a dozen game designers were let go. Seventeen cloud solution architecture jobs were also eliminated. Microsoft aims to streamline operations. Amy Hood mentioned a focus on cost efficiencies.
