Microsoft shut its movies store 19 years after its launch

Microsoft has shuttered its Movies & TV store on Xbox and Windows, ending its digital video retail journey that began in 2006. Users can still access previously purchased content via the Movies & TV app, with downloads available in HD on Windows. Purchases made in the US through Movies Anywhere remain accessible on other platforms.
