Ministry of Defence extends ECHS medical facilities to medically discharged officer Cadets

The Defence Ministry has extended medical benefits under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) to disabled officer-trainees discharged from military academies due to medical reasons attributable to military training. This decision, prompted by Supreme Court concerns, provides free OPD services and cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals.
