Mirabai Chanu made a stunning comeback after a year-long hiatus, securing a gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships. She dominated the women’s 48kg event, lifting a total of 193kg and breaking Commonwealth records in snatch, clean and jerk, and total weight. This victory marks her return to competition after finishing fourth at the Paris Games last August.
