Mizoram to enhance air connectivity with new chopper services

Mizoram is set to enhance air connectivity with new helicopter services connecting Aizawl to Silchar and Churachandpur from October under the RCS UDAN scheme. Significant infrastructure upgrades are planned for Lengpui Airport, including an Rs 86.8 crore runway enhancement and new facilities. A heliport project at Thenzawl is also proposed.
