Mizoram village councils get 14 crore grant

The central government released Rs 14.40 crore as the second installment of untied grants for Mizoram’s rural local bodies under the Fifteenth Finance Commission. This funding, along with Rs 12.09 lakh from the first installment, will benefit 808 eligible village councils. Mizoram previously received Rs 14.27 crore in August 2025 for 827 councils.
