Pradeep Kumar, 33, died instantly when a lorry struck his motorcycle near Ambalpady Junction in Udupi on Monday evening. Police reports indicate the lorry driver, Luv Patil, was allegedly driving rashly on the potholed service road along National Highway 66, leading to the fatal collision.
