MSMEs employ about 30 crore people: Official

The Udyam portal has seen a significant surge in MSME registrations, growing from 1.6 crore in April 2023 to 6.9 crore by 2025. The government aims to onboard an additional 4 crore MSMEs in the next four to five years, further bolstering employment for approximately 30 crore individuals in smaller towns and rural areas.
