Mukhiya shot dead in Samastipur, revenge killing suspected

A gram panchayat mukhiya was shot dead in Samastipur district on Thursday night. Manoranjan Giri was returning home when assailants fired three bullets. Police suspect the murder is an act of revenge. Giri was a suspect in the previous killing of Vikram Giri. He had a criminal history. A probe is underway to identify the shooters.
