NAC executive officer held for taking Rs 25,000 bribe

An OAS officer, Banamali Satapathy, was apprehended by vigilance sleuths in Ganjam district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000. The bribe was demanded to facilitate a staff member’s transfer and process salary arrears. Searches are underway at his properties to investigate disproportionate assets.
