NGT summons Jharkhand-based firm’s MD in ‘encroachment on Luna riverbed’ case

The National Green Tribunal has summoned the MD of a Jharkhand construction firm and made NHAI a party in a case concerning alleged encroachment of over 18 acres of the Luna riverbed in Kendrapada. A joint inspection confirmed the disputed land is part of the river, with temporary labour huts constructed on its floodplain.
