No fairs around Durga Puja mandaps in Bangladesh; home adviser links them with cannabis, alcohol

In Bangladesh, fairs near Durga Puja mandaps are prohibited this year to curb anti-social activities like drug consumption. While a few shops may be allowed with permission, around 33,000 puja mandaps are expected nationwide. A mobile application has been developed to enhance security during the peaceful celebrations.
