Odisha government approves intrastate river linking and sanitation schemes

Odisha’s cabinet has greenlit two major initiatives: a Rs 1,790 crore plan to link intrastate rivers for equitable water distribution and climate resilience, and ‘Swachha Odisha,’ a Rs 1,600 crore program to unify urban sanitation efforts. These schemes aim to boost agricultural productivity, mitigate floods, and create cleaner cities across the state.
