Olympic gold medalist Nathan Chen announces to skip 2026 Winter Games to study medicine

Nathan Chen, the Olympic gold medalist, will not compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics. He is focusing on medical school after graduating from Yale. Ilia Malinin is now the frontrunner for Team USA. Malinin has achieved success in world championships. Team USA aims to win medals at the upcoming games in Italy. Younger skaters will compete to fill Chen’s place.
