Online job scam: Mangaluru man loses Rs 4.66 lakh; Udupi woman duped of Rs 1.12 lakh in investment fraud

In Mangaluru, a man lost Rs 4.66 lakh to an online job scam after a fraudulent app hacked his phone and accessed his parents’ accounts. Separately, in Udupi, Nisha B lost Rs 1.12 lakh in an investment scam after being persuaded by anonymous callers. Police have registered cases at Surathkal and Hiriyadka police stations to investigate these cybercrimes.
