Orissa high court criticises Cuttack Municipal Corporation for poor sanitation despite high spending

The Orissa high court has strongly criticized the Cuttack Municipal Corporation. This comes after a TOI report highlighted severe sanitation issues in Cuttack. The court noted that over Rs 3.16 crore is spent monthly on garbage collection and drain desilting. Despite this expenditure, the city’s sanitation remains poor. The court has summoned the deputy commissioner (sanitation) to explain the situation.
