Over 3.6 lakh candidates skip UPPSC prelim exam: Why are so many avoiding this prestigious test

Over 3.6 lakh candidates skipped the UPPSC Preliminary Examination this year, with only 2,65,364 of the 6,26,387 applicants appearing. Stricter exam security measures, including biometric verification and AI surveillance, contributed to the record absenteeism. While many candidates found parts of the paper easy, history and maths questions caused confusion. This marks the second year attendance has dropped below 45%, highlighting a significant shift in candidate participation in this prestigious exam.
