Over 50 per cent road accident victims in Andhra Pradesh are two-wheeler users in 2023

Two-wheelers accounted for 50% of Andhra Pradesh’s 8,137 road accident fatalities in 2023, with 4,139 deaths largely due to head injuries from helmet non-compliance. Over-speeding caused over 78% of all road deaths. Authorities stress the need for counselling youngsters on compulsory helmet use and speed restrictions to reduce these tragic incidents.
