Patliputra police rescue elderly couple from digital house arrest

Patliputra police rescued an elderly couple from a five-day digital house arrest by cybercriminals posing as narcotics officers. The fraudsters attempted to extort Rs 27 lakh by falsely accusing the couple of involvement in a drug parcel. Police intervened, preventing the financial fraud and initiating an investigation into the perpetrators.
