Pending salaries of home guards to be cleared soon: Meghalaya minister

Home guard personnel in Meghalaya, who support the state police in various functions, will soon receive their pending salaries after a technical delay. Minister Comingone Ymbon assured the assembly that the Home Guards & Civil Defence Department will take over payment of duty allowances. A supplementary demand of over Rs. 16 crore is required to disburse the payments.
