PIL against ‘Kolhapuri-like’ Prada sandals dismissed by Bombay high court

The Bombay High Court has dismissed a PIL seeking action against Prada for showcasing sandals resembling Kolhapuri chappals at Milan Fashion Week. The PIL, filed by Pune lawyers, alleged the luxury brand’s ‘toe-ring sandals’, priced at Rs 1 lakh, were deceptively similar to the traditional Maharashtrian footwear.
