Plan to adopt best road safety practices of other states to curb accident deaths

Odisha is adopting road safety best practices from states that have successfully reduced accident fatalities, following a nearly 5% rise in deaths in 2023. The state will study and replicate successful strategies from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Kerala. Efforts also include urban road audits and addressing illegal median cuts.
