Police, Varanasi Municipal Corporation jointly decide vending zone sites

Varanasi is setting up 35 vending zones. This decision came after a meeting between police and Varanasi Municipal Corporation officials. The goal is to prevent traffic problems. Police rejected 20 of the VMC’s proposed locations but added 12 of their own. Authorities also discussed 20 potential parking sites. Sundarpur fish market was removed, and arrests were made for traffic obstruction.
