Shreyas Iyer opts out of red-ball cricket, informs selectors

Shreyas Iyer informs selectors and BCCI about his decision to quit red-ball cricket. He cites discomfort and the rigours of first-class cricket as reasons. Iyer also withdrew from the India A match. Selectors are set to meet to pick the Test team for the West Indies series. Iyer last played Test cricket in February 2024.
