Sivasagar DC requested to stop work on site of Ahom-era tank

The Assam director of archaeology has requested the Sivasagar district commissioner to halt construction and vandalism at the Ahom-era Ligiripukhuri tank in Nazira, following concerns raised by locals and an inspection revealing damage from pipeline installations by the Assam Police Battalion and local residents.
