SSC holds re-exam for 59,500 candidates after tech failures: How it happened and what’s changed

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted a re-exam on August 29 for 59,500 candidates affected by technical glitches during the Selection Post Phase 13 exams held between July 24 and August 2. The decision followed mass protests in Delhi and led to three special exam shifts. SSC introduced reforms including Aadhaar-based authentication, new normalisation methods, and system upgrades with CDAC. The CGL 2025 exam was postponed, and Eduquity replaced TCS as the new exam conducting agency.
