SSI murder case: One of the accused, Manikandan, shot dead in encounter

In Tirupur district, a Special Sub Inspector was fatally hacked by a father and his two sons after responding to a distress call at an AIADMK MLA’s farmland. While investigating the crime scene, the main accused, Manikandan, attacked another Sub Inspector with a sickle and attempted to flee, leading police to fatally shoot him. The injured officer was hospitalized.
