STF kills Rs 50k reward-listed cattle smuggler in UP’s Azamgarh encounter

A notorious cattle smuggler, Waqib, carrying a Rs 50,000 reward, was killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh STF in Azamgarh. Waqib, involved in over 50 criminal cases including smuggling and murder, was intercepted during a patrol. He opened fire on police, leading to retaliatory action. His three associates escaped.
