A severe storm with heavy rainfall battered Madhepura district’s Alamnagar and Puraini blocks Saturday evening, causing widespread destruction. The tempest destroyed 340 homes, killed one person, and injured at least 20 others. Electricity supply was snapped, and roads were blocked.
