Tamil Nadu: Police arrest Hindu outfit leader on charges of raping 13-year-old girl

Police arrested Sri Kandan, head of the All India Hindu Maha Sabha, and the girl’s aunt for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old. The abuse, spanning two years, reportedly began after the aunt introduced the child to Kandan. The girl, threatened into silence, eventually revealed the ordeal to her mother, leading to the arrests under POCSO and SC/ST Acts.
