Truck rams pole on Thane flyover: Driver, assistant dies in midnight crash; traffic hit for hours

In a tragic incident early Tuesday, a truck laden with iron rods crashed on the Patlipada flyover in Thane, resulting in the deaths of the driver, Vinod (42), and his assistant, Rahim Pathan (25). The truck, heading from Navi Mumbai to Gujarat, collided with a streetlight pole, causing extensive damage and spilling its cargo onto the Ghodbunder Highway.
