India’s Maratha Military Landscapes, a network of 12 forts showcasing Maratha military ingenuity from the 17th-19th centuries, have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This recognition, announced during the 47th session in Paris, brings India’s total to 44 heritage sites.
