Vigilance team arrests forest department junior assistant for taking Rs 30,000 bribe

Vigilance officials in Keonjhar apprehended Rupchand Nayak, a junior assistant in the forest department, for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000. He allegedly demanded the sum from Ghanashyam Mukhi, a retired peon, to process his pending pension documents and arrear salary. Following a complaint, authorities caught Nayak red-handed and conducted searches at his office and residence.
