What lies ahead of Battlefield 6 if it sticks to modern-gen consoles only?

While it was obviously EA’s Battlefield 6 reveal may have been expected, it was not entirely unexpected due to leaks. Now that Battlefield 2042 has missed the mark, it seems like they want to restore the franchise, with an impressive stunning graphical representation shown in the trailer. However, it doesn’t look good with regard to Xbox One and PS4 being cut.
