French cyclist Aurélien Fontenoy set a new world record on October 2, 2025, by climbing the Eiffel Tower’s 686 steps to the second floor with his mountain bike. He reached the top in just 12 minutes and 30 seconds without touching the ground, significantly beating the previous record. Fontenoy used his shoulders, calves, and arms to lift the bike.
