Woman injured in crocodile attack

A 52-year-old woman was injured after a saltwater crocodile attacked her while she was washing utensils in the Kharosotra river near Bhitarkanika National Park. Villagers rescued the woman, who was then taken to a local health center. The forest department has implemented measures, including barricades and awareness campaigns, to prevent further human-crocodile encounters.
