YouTube’s new monetization rules: What changes (and what doesn’t)
YouTube is updating its monetization policies. The changes will be effective from July 15, 2025. The goal is to identify inauthentic content. Channels need 1,000 subscribers. They also need 4,000 watch hours or 10 million short views. Reaction channels are not banned. Creators must add value to content. This aims to promote authentic and trustworthy creators.
