The Election Commission will deploy 470 central observers, including IAS and IPS officers, for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections and bypolls in seven other states. These observers will act as the EC’s “eyes and ears” to ensure free, fair, and impartial electoral contests, overseeing the entire process. A briefing for these officers is scheduled for October 3.
