Rory McIlroy received a personal apology from PGA of America CEO Derek Sprague following fan abuse at the Ryder Cup 2025. McIlroy and his wife Erica were subjected to unpleasantries, including beer being thrown, during Europe’s victory at Bethpage Black. Sprague’s gracious apology was appreciated by the golfer. He even revealed Derek Sprague had worked with his wife Erica.
