Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann provided a state helicopter for flood relief in Gurdaspur, commencing operations on August 27. However, the chopper returned to Chandigarh on August 30, despite official bulletins continuing to report its deployment for relief efforts as late as September 6. It was also reported that political party leaders used the helicopter for distributing relief.
