BJP candidate Maithili Thakur faced criticism after a video showed her eating fox nuts from a traditional Mithila ‘paag’. Critics deemed the act an insult to Mithila’s culture and Bihar’s honor. Thakur has since been seen wearing the ‘paag’ prominently during campaign events, asserting its cultural significance.
